A garnet red color. A delicate nose of black fruits, soft spices, and a hint of menthol. Beautifully structured and elegant character. Perfect balance between deeper tones and refined impressions. A wine that truly reveals itself after being given some air in the glass. In the finish, a fine and typical bitterness emerges.
Tasty poultry such as smoked duck breast or grilled pigeons are always enjoyed with a Cabernet Franc, but also finer game such as roe deer or hind can certainly be paired. Additionally, lamb, aged beef, or horse steak are also well-received with this delightful Saumur-Champigny.
